There are three steps involved in applying for a job at MacDill AFB:1. Complete a resume2. Review job listings3. Self-nominate for advertised job vacancies All of these steps may be accomplished either by telephone, 1-800-699-4473, or through the Air Force Job Information web page.To start, review the Air Force Job Kit that is available at the web page or mailed to your home address by calling the 1-800 telephone number above. From this review, the applicant will gain insight on how the Air Force external hiring process works and tips on all three of the application steps. The applicant can use “Resume writer” to complete and upload a resume directly into the Air Force applicant supply file. It normally takes five days for the resume to process, and the applicant must have a resume on file before they can self-nominate for Air Force jobs. Another menu option is “Search for job”, a review of advertised job vacancies which explains who may apply, applicable job duties, qualification requirements, and the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for successful job performance. Then, there is “Self Nominate”, a self-nomination menu option that allows the applicant to indicate interest in being considered for the advertised job.Advertised jobs can be posted any day of the week.
